The Day After

Church Family,
I write to you today in the middle of a new day. A different day. A day where the election results are in and freedom truly rings. While hopes are high for the future, and the seasons continue to change, we must remember the one thing that remains true: Jesus Christ is still King and His throne is unchanged.
With a new presidential administration comes different expectations and policies. But for the Christian, we must remain diligent in the work of the Lord.
Personally, my gratitude is towards the fact that we will continue to hold the freedom to worship Jesus in public. But this begs the question: what do we do with this freedom? Well, we use the freedom to live out our faith as a motivation to share it.
In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus gave His disciples this command, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
God did not call us to wave a political banner or name, or shake a fist at those that disagree, but rather to make known the Gospel of Jesus.
Of course, let us come together in praise to God that He is not done with our nation. But let us use this blessing as a motivation rather than a deterrent, sharing the same grace with others in the way that He has freely given it to us.
God bless you. God bless Hope Community Church. And God bless America.
